A BUCKIE farmer who came to the rescue of vulnerable elderly people during last week’s flood has been hailed as a hero. Rain lashed down in seemingly ceaseless torrents over the course of the evening of Sunday August 10 and early Monday August 11, bringing with it chaos on a scene not witnessed for many years.
