A CAMPAIGN to get a new health care facility in Keith needs local support.
For years staff have struggled in the dated health centre and Turner Memorial Hospital.
Leon Stelmach, chairman of the Keith Health Centre Patient Participation Group, said: "For several years the medical team, supported by the PPG, has been lobbying NHS Grampian to support the funding of a purpose-built facility to accommodate both the surgery and hospital.
"While other communities have been provided with spacious modern buildings, Keih's premises have been languishing with low-cost facelifts, leaving patients with inadequate parking facilities and a lack of disabled access to some parts of the building."
A petition has been started by the PPG calling on the Scottish Government to provide the funds for a new health compelex in Keith.
